1. KWOKY
2. Give Them What They Want
With his new EP on the Rub A Duck imprint Crisis will surely make a definite impact on the Drum & Bass scene of today. 'KWOKY' and 'Give Them What They Want' are two brand new, up to speed tracks, the latter complimented by the sparkling vocals of Sanna Hartfield.
Crisis made his debut on Rub A Duck with "A Little Rusy/First Sight", a superb drum and bass EP that brings back the good old times of Roni Size, Goldie and Adam F. Besides spinning in clubs, he's also recorded a series of mix tapes called 'Crisis Talks' filled with double drops and complex mixes. With a high standard in production and strong musical influences he finds himself in good company on 'Rub A Duck', with other artists on the roster such as 'The Freestylers', 'Sound Avtar', 'Hectic', 'Kouncil House' and 'Knightfreak'.
Crisis is set to release future projects through the imprint. With a collaboration in the pipeline with fellow producer 'Knightfreak', it is worth keeping your ears peeled for this new producer on the scene.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label Rub A Duck returns with another sensational release particularly for those who adore drum n bass that seems to be one of the most creative and continuously evolving styles. Crisis is added in the large Rub A Duck family of artists with two very strong tracks that have all the elements required to keep you dancing and sweating on the dancefloor. KWOKY is an exceptional tripping drum n bass soundquake that is fast, furious and quite aggressive as well. Its the more futuristic, dark, moody, grumpy track that has the nice rhythm and the right groove to keep you hooked and electrified for long. Interesting twist is the like breaks strange section that is included on the breakdown. It catch you by surprise and you are not pretty sure whats going on. Cinematic, cold and distanced and creative track that except the clubs you can hear it on action video game easily as well. Second awesome track is Give Them What They Want featuring the soulful youthful vocals by Sanna Hartfield. While the first one was bass heavy for the clubs this 2nd track is much more deep, emotional and sensitive. Its the kind of drum n bass that you can find easily within a chill out Cafe del Mar style compilation as well. The travelling beats, the rolling basslines and the incredible haunting fragile piano melody will definitely hypnotise you and transfer you to another level. Relaxing and very sweet indeed. Dont Miss them, Love iT
