1. Regulators (Original Mix)
FSOE favourite Bjorn Akesson and Dutch producer Sied van Riel join forces on a mighty weapon for prime-time purposes. ‘Regulators’ stands out, kicks in and sweeps each floor it’s about to meet.
Never before in the dance music community have the lines between genres been as blurred as they are right now. In order to create music that will move the masses, artists need to be as versatile as they are talented.
No collaboration demonstrates this better than that of Dutch DJ and producer Sied Van Riel and Swedish artist Bjorn Akesson. With ‘Regulators,’ the two have managed to transcend conventional boundaries without sacrificing emotion or musicality.
Van Riel and Akessons’ trance roots are unmistakable in the track’s haunting and ethereal melodies, while Techno elements and adrenaline-fueled build-ups keep the energy level at a record high.
Last month, Armin Van Buuren used the track to kick off the new year at ASOT 650 in Moscow and this one’s locked & loaded, already causing a stir in the sets of Aly & Fila.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Future Sound of Egypt is not just a very successful record label but a whole concept about powerful trance music and memorable events all around the world. The beloved Aly & Fila imprint returns with another must play or better quite your job track. Partners in crime is the always smiling Sied van Riel & Bjorn Akesson. Together they combine their forces and influences to deliver the super strong trancer that has the Dutch big room trance sound by Sied van Riel and the tech trance sensibilities by Bjorn Akesson while the iceing is the euphoric uplifting synthy riff that has that epic feel that unite the clubbers together and bring them closer to enjoy the party as one. The track has moments of super rough rocking raw distorted agressive basslines and incredible breakdown with synthy lead that raise the hair from your neck along with break beat sequence to keep the clubbers occupied and ready to jump as high as they can when the manic beat drops. The climax is pretty nasty with dubstep infusions and playful construction while there are hins of the main melody on top. The second breakdown is shorter and is used to introduce the final euphoric hands in the air sequence that will satisfy the clubbers 100%. Super stunning production that will have first role on many dj sets the coming months. Love iT
