REVIEW: Menno de Jong ft Noire Lee - Creatures Of The Night incl. remixes on ITWT / Black Hole recordings

Menno de Jong is back with a new release on In Trance We Trust, together with female vocalist Noire Lee. The result is an incredibly banging trancer, that won’t let you stand still. 

Menno de Jong is primarily a DJ, but is also known as an accomplished producer and the founder of Intuition Recordings. He was already interested in music, classical as well as modern, at a young age and took up DJ-ing as a teenager releasing his first single “Guanxi” in 2004. Since then Menno has done various successful releases and received support from such DJ’s as Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. With the ‘Intuition Sessions’ he showcases his label and his broad style of trance and progressive.

Canadian Noire Lee is a woman of contrast, being an EDM songwriter/vocalist, but also the lead singer of electro punk-rock band Modern Limits.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the finest trance producers in the scene is of course Menno de Jong from Eindhoven who returns in full force with releases that easily stand out and establish him as one of the big players in the trance scene. His latest anthem is called Creatures of The Night and will win your attention straight away. Tough solid sonic foundation of heavy drum beats, energetic driving powerful basslines to smash the loudspeakers and cool gentle and serene luscious melodic themes. The awesome Noire Lee sounds the best choice to sing on it and with her sensitive, fragile but so powerful and emotional voice at the same time change our perception of reality completely. We simply want  to learn the lyrics by heart and sing a long loud with her performing live on stage. The main melodic theme is a very aggressive  synthy that slaps you and shock you with its immense energy. Intensity is raised to the maximum level and when the beat strikes back for the climax the rest is history. Uplifting euphoric trance at its highest quality that will energise the crowds and drive them wild on the dancefloor! The remix package is extensive and include magnificent  alternative versions that will expand the audience of this awesome release. First of all is Jonathan Pitch who translates the original into a massive euphoric hands in the air Swedish epic prog house style version that bangs hard with rough sharp kicks, raw pumping hard basslines and euphoric melodies on the well known rhythm that seems to work like a treat in the EDM boom in USA at the moment. The beloved Somna transforms the original into a modern neo prog trancer with electro kissed basslines, chunky cracking beats and distorted rave style euphoric synthy leads that will crawl under your skin and electrify your body and soul. The hard fat and in your face bassline in the climax will raise the roof in many clubs and open air festivals. Absolutely earthshaking version! Chris Porter moves on the same pathway of the original and goes the uplifting euphoric trance style that is pure and straight to the point. Hard tough slamming beats, punchy energetic basslines and amazing ethereal breakdown with warm strings and earth shuttering synths that create the epic atmosphere that will easily carry you away for a while to another dimension. His climax is what this track needs. The Ibiza inspired feel good melody and the whole composition ensures that trance heaven is a place on a club. Last but not least the quickly rising to the top Adam Ellis  is on remix duties too and he proves once again why is the one to watch. His main focus is on Noire's Lee inspiring vocals. He uses gated parts of them upon his classic UK trance style foundation that is simply brilliant as an idea. His breakdown is what all the pure trance lovers prayed for with huge euphoric synthy leads that sounds like a thunderstorm that nothing will be the same after it. Of course in the climax the rainbow of love will shine so hope, optimism and euphoria comes in your heart and open your horizons! It's one of those tracks that deserve to be one of the biggest trance anthems of the year. #PureGold Love iT
