"I had so many vocal ideas for Waiting for You, and Kris built the song in just the most beautiful way. When I first heard the demos, I was immediately transported to the clubs' bright lights and dark corners--I knew the lyrics had to capture that sense of excitement and possibility, when the night can take you anywhere. Listening to it now, even, I can't wait for what's ahead! " - Black Hills

Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional Kris Menace comes on Kontor records after its initial release on Compuphonic with Waiting For You featuring the magnificent lyrics by Black Hills. The original mix is a tripping day dreamy 80's influenced electro pop beauty that unfolds like fairytale. Oliver remix is a wonderful groovy indie dance version with housey touches and minimal use of the very touching vocals. Fingerpaint remix is an impressive lounge house version with mesmerising melodies, hypnotic sounds and rolling basslines that carry your senses away. Relaxing, cinematic and stand out from the rest is eclectic house at its best. Dosem remix is the more upfront house version with deep brooding haunting basslines, pumping driving beats and hi-nrg melodies in the background. In the breakdown he adds some very warm strings and melodies while the final sequence is euphoric and colourful with sublime use of the vocal. Vincent Fries is deeper indie dance version with minimal composition, chunky beats, funky basslines, many different synthy layers and use only of the vocal chorus. Very pretty track that has the relaxing airy fairy atmosphere that warm your senses within the cold winter nights. Last but not least the Volta Cab version is a very cool old school retro house version with early 90s rave influences and application of the full vocal. Superb release that deserves to reach a wider audience. Love IT
