REVIEW: D-Mad - Cote d'Azur out on Monster Tunes

Dmitry Lysenko, aka D-Mad, completes his Monster Tunes hatrick release with another progressive diamond of a production. Doing what he does best, D-Mad sticks to his winning formulae of fusing funky electro with trance in a melting pot of creativity.

‘Cote d’Azur’ is a full on funk fest armed with chunky beats, gritty electro basslines, soulful diva-esque female vocal licks and hands in the air synths, which play expertly crafted melodies that are now so unique to the D-Mad sound! This man really knows how to seamlessly blend genres with ease.

We’re ‘D-Mad’ for it!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The always on fire label Monster Tunes is about to drop another monumental release. The massive D-Mad from Russia is back and his on great shape as well. The uber talented magician unleashes the beats and he produces a wonderful melodic progressive hybrid of blissful dreamy trance with big room and electro house elements as well. It starts all groovy, bouncy, chunky and playful with electrified basslines while mesmerising sweet melodies are added on top as well. The vocal samples used are coming from female house diva and certainly helps the track to widen its appeal to different dj sets as well. The breakdown is calming and soothing with USA EDM style synths on top to excite the clubbers and drive them totally out of order. The tension is building up perfectly and the pressure cooker situation is relieved when the beat strikes back for the full on feel good hands in the air climax. Its so strong, dynamic but melodic as well on the unique and established D-Mad style. Love iT
