New Year, and another new shade of ‘Magenta’. Following his trail of club floor heat-seekers over the last 8 months - all spawned from his astonishing debut album ‘Magenta’, Giuseppe kicks off 2014 in spirited form. For his next single, Ottaviani has joined forces with fast emerging Australian singer/songwriter chanteuse Alana Aldea. Having previously sung vocals for Cosmic Gate, Max Graham and Aaron Camz’s productions (to name but a few), she now brings her torch-song tones to Giuseppe’s latest. Completed by impressive remix formation (incl. John O’Callaghan, Walsh & McAuley and Alex Wackii), ‘Heal This Empty Heart’ is ready to heal those January blues!

On his new Extended Mix, Giuseppe coverts his original ‘Magenta’ vision into a wholly fleshed out main-stage mainstay. Hinged around the fulcrum of Alana soulfully burning lyrics and the aching lament of her voice, his perfectly judged production drops a near instant 2014 classic into the laps of trance lovers.

Backed by rainforest FX and raincry harmonies, John O’Callaghan’s remix steals ‘Heal This Empty Heart’ deeper into the night, upping its tempo and intensifying its bass. Into the break he brings the strings and allows Alana full song to reign on his Vocal Mix (which was chosen as Tune Of The Week in episode 648 of Armin van Buuren's radio show A State Of Trance!), whilst the energetic production assumes centrestage on the Dub.

Leaving an equally substantial floor-print, France’s Alex Wackii chops, echoes and pans the vocals vivaciously on his version. Drawing the track into the long sweeping synths and slight electro highlights, he polishes the peak of the drop with airborne synths.

Fast-on-the-rise duo Walsh & McAuley serve a cooler, more melodic take on the track, retuning ‘Heal This Empty Heart’ closer to the sunset/sunrise spin. Tying the release off, Zetandel turns the dial to all-out chill out, with slo-mo breaks, elegiac chime and hazily beautiful notes and chord structures.

A mix for all tastes and all times of the night (or day), ‘Heal This Empty Heart’.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Giuseppe Ottaviani had one of his best years in 2013. The release of his stunning album Magenta on Black Hole rec. moved forward his career and the result was many booking to play Live his music all around the globe. The next single coming out from Magenta is the incredible Heal This Empty Heart that is now remixed by various artists on one of the best remix packages we experience lately in the trance scene including delicious remixes. First of all is the awesome original mix. Energetic melodic driving proglifting trancer at its best with big room and uplifting elements in equal measures. Pumping bouncy beats, electrified basslines, sidechain effects and emotional melodies and synths working together to create the perfect balance of the sweet and ethereal highlighted from Alana's vocals with the tough beats that so well Giuseppe knows how to produce in perfection. High class production that will win your Second remix comes from the one and only master of underground trance John O Callaghan. The Irish Subculture owner delivers the goods and drops his hard trance version that remains faithful to the underground dark tech trance infused sound. He adds his bouncy pumping drum beat with the sharp kick and driving but aggressive bassline while the rough side is soothed down when the incredible Alana Aldea vocals are introduced. She has one of the most sensitive and unique voices that shine on whatever she chooses to sing with deep and thoughtful lyrics that make you think of them hours, days and months after you hear this very unique track. The breakdown will raise the hair from your back as the classical music strings are combined perfectly with the electronic synthy layers that nicely lead us on the climax that will offer the worth waiting pay off moment to the clubbers worldwide. The package includes the dub mix for those who would like to taste it without vocals. The next upcoming talent that has the chance to  remix it is the brilliant Alex Wackii who service a very strong progressive trance version that is powerful and banging with luscious melodies, euphoric synths and great application of the exceptional vocal by playing around with it and adding a very creative touch! Particularly his breakdown is stand out moment with classical orchestral music theme that elevates the greatness of the vocal even more. The main synthy lead is turned into a modern rave distorted synthy that is quite dirty but very euphoric at the same time. His climax is awesome and is super hard to imagine even one person from your crowd to stand still. I feel that this remix will support Alex to get the wider recognition that he really deserves.  The Irish duo Walsh & McAuley deliver exceptional remixes and originals and this is definitely one of the highlight moments in their career. Their translation is uplifting with optimistic pure trance feel. The synths chords remind us the sound of Paul van Dyk & Chicane as well that is of course really positive, summery and sunny. Their breakdown is packed with melodic goodness. Their take on the main lead is quite different and really sounds like morning breeze by the seaside. Ibiza comes to your mind when you hear such a wonderful straight to the point uplifting trance sounds. Zetandel is a magician when it comes to remix any track. His Chill Out established by now sound has excellent drum percussion, break beats and mesmerising hypnotic melodies. It's going to relax your senses and calm your thoughts. This is what I call Vocal Trance. #PureGold Love iT
