Our fifth release brings rising Italian stars Andrew Cash & Amax DJ to the realm of the Empress.
Andrew Cash impressed us previously in 2013 under his 'Sunlight Project' guise with beautifully structured emotional productions and consistency to match. So when we heard that he was willing to work with us in 2014 we were excited to say the least.
Their original starts off with power from the outset. Stamping its authority with the kick and bass groove in full swing, preparing us for a tease of a mysterious sustained synth developing into a full uplifting trance melody - unexpectedly.. Taking us through a powerful, orchestral and magical journey of progressive trance.
Physical Phase is on fire at the moment, his mix unleashes everything needed for an uplifting trancer. Shimmering production, a cinematic breakdown and build which even includes a fantastic Breaks section leading into a twisted metalised acidic drop before building into the room shaking payoff. This mix speaks for itself.
Sean Williamson (SeeNaY) makes his 2nd return to Empress. His previous visit was under his alter ego and partnership 'Juction 16' with Kev Atkinson.
He takes it in a more spacious, melodic and wonderfully produced direction. A powerful rolling bassline creating a wave of anticiaption before dropping to simplicity and sadness, then teasing with the bass note changes before floating into the beautiful string arrangement of the breakdown and complimenting the Original melody with a nice lead. The payoff is equally as good creating a euphoric climax.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Empress recordings is a label that manage to sustain high quality standards with its releases so far. The top label changes its more progressive trance direction and moves to the uplifting trance territory that will definitely make a change for many. Andrew Cash & Amax DJ presents the top Dark Night. As the title suggests is a dark uplifting trancer with heavy kicks, driving energetic basslines and plenty of acid overtones as well. The melodic theme is really involving and attracts the attention of the clubbers without doubts. It has the word anthem written all over it. Physical Phase remix is a banging uplifting trancer with mechanical techy beats, powerful punchy driving basslines and hi-nrg synths that will impress your ears. The breakdown is long and atmospheric with piano chords, chorus style vocals and classical orchestral music themes. The climax starts quite tech trance but after a heavy overload of all themes moves to the uplifting territory for the final section. SeeNaY remix is a deep progressive trance alternative version with electronica blissful melodic themes and floating composition that lock you in its groove and take you on board for a nice melodic hypnotic trip.
