Hungarian producer Bence Soveny aka 10000 Sounds marks his Bonzai debut on our top progressive imprint Progrez with "Artificial". The track come with a fantastic remix and is a testament to the talents of this young artist.
The Original Mix sets off in a steadily building smooth and flowing rhythm that builds momentum effortlessly. Tight drum and percussion arrangements keep things moving nicely with very cool FX work adding textures. The bassline is a work of art as it meanders through the sound revealing many different layers as a sinister sounding synth comes into play.
Kiev based Ivan Shadrin aka Ego Progressus is fresh off the back of his well received "Dark Story EP". Here he delivers his Edit which transforms the sound beautifully keeping the grooves running deep with a superb hypnotic bassline. The drum sections are beautifully crafted with the kicks standing out with a nice thump. Darkly FX run through the sound and on the break an almost eerie vibe takes over as strange synths take hold. Brilliant stuff destined to be among many sets at those late night venues!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Progrez is the top Bonzai Progressive sublabel that targets the deep and unexplored sides of progressive house. The trance influences are present and really add that special depth to the tracks. Both are very well produced with haunting basslines and psy trance infused melodies. Its the kind of prog house with substance and that aims not only for the body but for the mind and soul as well. Original is my favourite while the remix is even more subtle, minimal and techy.
