The final names for Snowbombing 2014 have today been revealed including BRIT award winner Tom Odell, Radio 1 legend Pete Tong and Grammy winner Foxes! Snowbombing has also announced that they will be joining forces will MTV UK, as the exclusive broadcast partner, for the third year running.
Snowbombing was voted ‘best overseas festival at the UK Festival Awards 2013 and will take place on 7-12 April in the alpine village of Mayrhofen, Austria celebrating its fifteenth year. With an avalanche of the world’s most exciting DJs and live acts already on-board, performing in one of the most unique festival settings imaginable, 2014 looks set to be the biggest to date.
With a BRIT Award for the Critic’s Choice category and a number one album under his belt, Tom Odell has gone from strength to strength. He will perform twice at the festival, including a once in a lifetime, mountaintop set outside the Superdry Arctic Disco. Expect crisp alpine air, breathtaking views and lots of wow factor as Tom Odell treats an intimate number of guests to a show like no other.
Pete Tong has graced the decks of clubs and festivals worldwide as well as assembling the music for movie soundtracks such as The Beach, Human Traffic and 24 Hour Party People. He will be donning his salopettes to headline the official opening party on Sunday 6th April in the mighty Racket Club.
Hailing from Southampton and taking the music industry by storm, Foxes also known as Louisa Rose Allen, has had a huge year. She recently scooped an award for ‘best dance recording’ at this year’s Grammy’s.
Also newly confirmed are ones to watch Clean Bandit, who whizzed past Pharell Williams to land their first number No. 1 single last week. They will join Tom Odell to perform a stunning, intimate set at the Arctic Disco, hundreds of metres above sea level.
Apex Ape and Raffle Mafia complete the bill, joining an all-star line-up that already includes The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers (DJ Set), Carl Cox and Chase & Status (live) amongst others.
Snowbombing is Europe’s largest, longest standing and most unique snow and music festival, taking place between 7th and 12th April 2014 in the snowy alpine town of Mayrhofen, Austria.
