1. Solarcoaster (Markus Schulz Remix)
2. Solarcoaster (Protoculture Remix)
3. Solarcoaster (Original Mix Remastered)
One of the biggest classics in trance music sees a brand new, re-mastered version, as well as remixes of Protoculture and Markus Schulz out on Captivating Sounds. In the 11 years since its release, Solarstone’s ‘Solarcoaster’ never left the dance floors.
And it won’t, for a very long time.
With South-Africa’s Protoculture adding a mystique, deep proggy touch to this legendary record, and Markus Schulz synthing this baby to peak-time, ‘Solarcoaster’ is ready for its next round of plays.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Armada Music in its rich backcatalogue includes some of the most important trance tracks of the last decade. One of them is the seminal Solarstone production Solarcoaster that still remains in our hearts with its easily recognisable and totally unforgettable stand out melody. Captivating Sounds part of Armada Music presents two exceptional new versions that the modern trance audiences will easily appreciate. First of all the pioneer and inventor of the dark haunting progressive sound Markus Schulz deliver his big room interpretation that bangs and shakes with rough and raw basslines, techy beats, side chain effects along with haunting strings. The breakdown is the hair raising moment you expect as after the well known spoken vocal sample the fantastic melody is revealed and comes to the very front to raise the hair from your back and drive you wild on the dancefloor. His climax is fat and spanking with the well known riff repeated upon the deep but highly energetic basslines. Markus Schulz never fails to impress me and once again he offers the superb remake that this classic deserves. The South African star Protoculture sounds the most wise to remix this anthem as well as I believe that his style is very close to the Solarstone's original and maybe his influenced from Solarstone as well. His rolling basslines, the pumping beats, the excellent percussion, the mouthwatering atmosphere and the whole sounddesign elevates the original into a modern powerful club trancer that will go down really well with its acid overtones and rich soundtextures. He even introduce brand new mesmerizing melodies to tottaly hypnotize the listener and nicely to lead us in his cinematic breakdown and meet again this superb synthy riff that will awake memories from the first trance parties that this mega anthem was played. Highly recommended. This Is What I Call Trance! Love iT
