Next up on Enhanced is talented DJ, producer & vocalist - Kerry Leva. Having already appeared on the label by providing the vocals for Ad Brown's ethereal track 'Memorial (You Were Loved)' Kerry makes her return with the excellent - 'Proud'.
The Original Mix blends elements of both Breaks and Chill Out while the warm atmospheric pads are the perfect bed for Kerry's emotive vocals. A fine display of this girl's many talents.
First up on remix duties is one of Enhanced's brightest young talents, Juventa, who turns it up a gear with a sensational and energetic remix. With an awe inspiring build up into a colossal drop, Juventa's syncopated beat cannot fail to be a hit, which has already been supported by Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond on their radio shows.
Providing the second remix is Oliver Smith who gives us his own Trance version of the track. Rolling basslines and heavy sidechains dominate this mix for added punch from start to finish.
Having produced Aruna's Original Mix of 'Reason To Believe', the on-fire Steve Kaetzel is up next to rework 'Proud'. Reminiscent of Massive Attack, this remix definitely enters the leftfield arena and is the perfect soundtrack for any Sunday and a quite wonderful alternative mix for the package.
A stellar release from this gifted producer and 3 sterling remixes to accompany it!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Enhanced recordings always surprise us with its awesome music discoveries. The superb singer Kerry Leva well known as featured vocalist comes with her own first single called Proud that make us guess that she will continue with a whole album. The single proud comes with the original mix that is a chill out dreamy relaxing affair with breaks and warm strings to trip out for a while. Steve Kaetzel well known for his remix for Aruna in her latest single delivers a magnificent laid back ambient version with excellent use of the vocals within his haunting dramatic soundscape with melancholic piano chords and subliminal beats. Juventa is well known for his progressive neo-trance meets house sound that will satisfy easily both camps. It starts with nice ambient intro and then he follows with his playful aggressive basslines and chunky beats until to land on his atmospheric breakdown that Kerry Leva shines with her performance and makes you identify with her excellent lyrics. His climax is full on euphoric prog trance affair with rough edgy basslines, pumping beats and euphoric hands in the air synths. You can easily imagine the crowd go totally ballistic with this smasher and maybe some girls will sing a along with tears in their eyes. The beloved Oliver Smith well known from his Anjunabeats classics provide a magnificent makeover that is energetic progressive trancer with solid groove, danceable rhythm, electro infused basslines and stunning synths that elevate the track to a whole new level along with the melancholic piano. Kerry's heartfelt vocals will easily break your heart and make this another Enhanced favourite in 2013. Love iT
