DJ Producer Ido, the mastermind behind Save The Robot, is releasing another solo E.P. on Black Hole Recordings. ‘The Sting’ as well as ‘Secrets’ are roomfilling and uplifting progressive house tracks.
Ido built his reputation in the electronic dance music industry as the man behind Save The Robot. With well received singles like "Red City", "Compassion", "Big Ben" and countless remixes for other artists in the discography, Save The Robot became a name that tickled the curiosity of many of the big names in the industry, wondering who created these tracks. To finally attach his own name to his new output, Ido has already produced several E.P.’s. His releases are supported by Kyau & Albert, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Pedro del Mar, Ferry Corsten, Fedde Le Grand and many, many more.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional dj & producer Ido is well known and respected for genre blending tracks that can not be easily identified as one genre or the other. Ido is everything and anything and djs from wide variety of styles such as progressive house or big room trance can easily play his incredible productions. His latest EP on the historic record label Black Hole recordings includes two must play club bangers that melt together beautiful melodies with heavy storming beats and driving energetic aggressive basslines. The Sting has the word anthem of the night written all over it. It's such a solid composition with heavy bouncy basslines, pumping pulsating beats and very strong mesmerising colourful melodies in the breakdown supported with very danceable rhythm that you enjoy to dance and let all the inhibitions go. The climax is mainstage style and focuses on the heavy demanding basslines with sidechain effects in it. The melody appears on top in a later stage to bring us nicely on the longer breakdown that epic strings, sunkissed melodies and heavy kicks groove and shake you until the beat drops for the fat climax. On the same high level of expertise is of course Secrets. With memorable melody in the breakdown that will recall trance breakdowns for sure followed by colourful and feel good build up that drive the track to its full on, hands in the air climax that focuses in contrast with the previous one more on the melody and less on the heavy basslines.
