REVIEW: The Peacemaker Project - Ich Lass' Dich Nicht Zuruck (The Remixes) on Anjunadeep

Hailing from New York and Ibiza via Frankfurt, The Peacemaker Project are a collective of producers forging their own soulful take on melodic house music.

Their debut single on Anjunadeep, the eclectic "Ich Lass' Dich Nicht Zurück" was an early highlight on the label's 2013 calendar, and now Anjunadeep mainstays Beckwith and Jody Wisternoff put their spins on the original, which also features on the package.

As featured on his Anjunadeep 05 mix, Jody Wisternoff's remix brings the melody to the fore, whilst adding some trademark Wisternoff weight to the groove, and some lively breakbeat flair.

Following thing up, Beckwith strips away the layers of melodic backing and gives the track a new bass driven direction. Built around a deep, low-slung groove his remix is topped off with shuffling percussion, muted vocals and a nod to the original melody.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The eclectic house record label Anjunadeep presents two brand new versions of the magnificent deep hypnotic anthem by The Peacemaker Project called Ich Lass' Dich Nicht Zuruck. For review of the original mix click here. First of all the beloved Jody Wisternoff retouches the original in his own very unique, established and easily identifiable style with him. He starts with a long atmospheric intro perfect to use as an opening track in your dj set. Ambient atmosphere with warm piano chords and ethereal voices welcomes us all just before the tribal tech house beat kicks in and get us on board for a nice easy going balearic house ride. The original instruments are present and create the very colourful live like atmosphere. Hypnotic grooves, sexy rhythm and erotic vibes radiating all over the place. Cinematic strings, percussion to die for, jazz undertones with cool saxophone riffs and emotional moments to raise the hair from your back. Big smash for the dancefloor without doubts by Jody that never fails to impress. Second magnificent remix by Beckwith who transforms the original into a deep hypnotic haunting production that has warmth perfect to keep us great company when outside  is cold and the night in front of us is long. Bass focused version with deep trancy feel to it. The very talented producer impress us all with his version that reveals the darker side of the original track. Two must play and support remixes. Love iT
