Next up on Touchstone is this classy 3 track E.P from Ukranian / Russian production duo N&R Project aka Sergey Babich & Alexander Kocketkov who’s love of beautiful & melodic trance music, has been demonstrated by previous releases on Silent Shore, Only One & Promind. Lead track here is ‘You Are’, opening with muted chords and washes of dreamy sequencer lines. An ethereal vocal refrain and goose-bump inducing piano lead at the break are what this track is all about, a real eyes-closed moment for blissed out dance floors. ‘Romantic’ is a similar flavor but less for the dancefloor than ‘You Are’, more in-car listening, and the 3rd offering here with Unknown Poem is pure atmospheric ambient mood music. First of all You Are is what we can easily label as pure trance at its very best. Its blissful melodic dreamy progressive trancer with brilliant breakdown with piano melody that will raise the hair from your back straight away. The lovely understated female vocals in the background and the nice rhythm create the magnificent balearic trance atmosphere that you simply want to loose yourself in it. Eternal trance feeling on this one. Romantic continues on the same pathway with brilliant piano intro, ethereal female voices and ambient atmosphere that slowly builds up towards the main body of the track. Back in the days it was labelled dream trance and as it seems the combination of piano, synths and trance beats and driving basslines will always be relevant. Last but not least when you feel that nothing can save you from a heavy working day try to press play on the ambient lounge chill out beauty with the really interesting title Unknown Poem.
