REVIEW: KhoMha - Hydra E.P.out on Coldharbour recordings

He remains as one of dance music's most exciting new talents, and the year 2013 will have provided Colombian wonder KhoMha with plenty of memories. Hot off his contributions to Buenos Aires '13 in the form of Cyclone and Dimensional, and for his final Coldharbour Recordings contribution of the year, he presents one of the most anticipated tracks in the wishlists of DJs and fans for many months.

In a year highlighted by his ever-presence throughout Markus Schulz's Scream Bus Tour, Hydra was arguably one of the standout highlights. Debuted by the Coldharbour boss during the passionate setting of A State of Trance 600 in Mexico City, the track demonstrates KhoMha's ability to combine his addictive rolling basslines with incredible melodies and a huge dose of swagger. Many of his followers cite Hydra as their favorite production from him to date.

Drummer first came to prominence during Markus' performance at this year's Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. KhoMha's melodic application is in evidence once again, but this time comes accompanied with some dark, techno-fused style percussions and bass to get a crowd going deep into the night. Kadence rounds off the package, and while it's less than two weeks old, it's sure to light up the clubs as the holiday season approaches.

The Hydra E.P. rounds off an incredible 12 months for Mr. Roberto Alzate Pasos. With several Coldharbour Nights before the year rounds out, he isn't finished on his pursuit of ascension just yet.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Nominated as the best global dance label and with huge following around the globe Markus Schulz imprint Coldharbour recordings has that lovely unique and tasty deep, moody and sometimes aggressive or melodic trance sound that targets the prime moments of your set.  The very talented  KhoMha continue its journey with his Hydra E.P. that includes 3 must play progressive trance bombs that can be easily playlisted by those who support epic prog house / Big room hybrid festival sound.  Hydra is a superb tsunami like powerbanger with huge like trumpets synthy leads, vavooming and in your face basslines while the spoken vocal sample add in its mysterious atmosphere. The climax is ready for heavy action so get prepared to make you sweat for sure. If you like the more dark and aggressive mainstage festival style trancer then dont miss this destined to become classic Hydra. The second track is called Drummer and as you can easily guess he service another magnificent hard as nails powerful club track that can be easily played by house djs as well. The main section is dominated by that organic minimal techy tribal beat while the breakdown is super long with euphoric epic synths and teasing build up towards the climax that continues with the same tribal techy alternative quite experimental percussion. Finally Kadence is an excellent composition that melts into its well structured  duration epic in your face rough slamming beats, hardstyle basslines and very strong memorable synthy melodies to hook your crowd instantly and offer them the finest club moments of their lives. Hydra EP by KhoMha is another manifestation of his incredible endless talent that keep his sound fresh, sparkling, and unique. His belief on playing around with genres makes many to describe his music as KhoMha style.  Love iT
