Taken from the tracklist of his latest album, Italy’s foremost trance-master prepares to direct another single mission straight to the heart of the dancefloor. This time ‘Magenta’ man Giuseppe Ottaviani has teamed up with Egypt’s finest Aly & Fila and the product of their combined studio union is is every bit as tempestuous and club combusting as you’d imagine! Make way for ‘Brilliant People’.
With ‘Waterpark’, ‘Cold Flame’, ‘Feel The Music’ and title track (and Ferry Corsten co-produced) ‘Magenta’, Giuseppe’s second artist album has delivered more than its fair share of up rocking instrumental trance. There’s always room for one more though, and here it comes in the form of ‘Brilliant People’!
Sneijder rework of ‘Brilliant People’ does nothing to dent the track’s velocity – anything but! Echoing, panning and gating the vocal, the rising Irish star builds his mix from the ground up with speaker-roasting kick-drum, gravity challenging synths and the full range of its transcendental vocal to produce one mighty floor-effect.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The latest single taken from Giuseppe Ottaviani's stunning album Magenta on Black Hole recordings is his collaboration with the huge trance stars Aly & Fila from Egypt who remain in the highest ranks of the dj mag Top 100djs list. Brilliant People is a magnificent uplifting trance smasher that is supported by superstrong mixes First of all is the Extended mix of the album version that is of course a very strong uplifting trancer. Straight to the point and hands in the air with driving energetic basslines, pumping banging beats and roof raising synths merged beautiful with heavenly style female voices. Wonderful breakdown with heartfelt and deeply emotional piano melody that sooth you down just before the euphoric build up that lead us nicely in the floating energy packed climax. The brand new rework offered comes from one of the best and most reliable trance dj & producer's Sneijder who is heavily supported by John O Callaghan. On his remix the talented producer delivers the straight forward uplifting full on hands in the air version that stays faithful to the origins of the uplifting trance and remains within the codes and conventions of what we define as euphoric trance. The breakdown is long and cinematic with luscious mesmerising melodies, classic G.O synthy leads, classical orchestral music strings and inspirational heavenly female voices. When the beat strikes back we are taken on board for an unforgettable uplifting ride with warm sunkissed melodies, ethnic style vocal samples and solid flow that keep us flying high during its whole duration. Last but not least for those chill out times after a heavy party night out don't miss Giuseppe Ottaviani ChillAir mix. Its the first time that G.O. includes a chill out version of his excellent tracks and that makes me wonder if he is about to release a special chill out album with chill out reworks from his current and past hits. This is What I Call Trance. Love iT
