REVIEW: Ben Mono - Don’t Tell / Ripple out on Strictly Rhythm

Originally from Munich and now based in the musically fertile city of Berlin, Ben Mono adds to his already impressive discography with his debut release on Strictly Rhythm.

The two new original productions Don’t Tell with Rachel Wallace’s sublime vocals and Ripple, continue the multi talented DJ and producer’s excursion into bass heavy, jacking house music and stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in contemporary house music.

Dimitri Kechagias review: House music goes back to its roots and all the way to underground. After the explosion of BIG Room packed with effects and excitement house its time for the deep tech house scene to come to the forefront and remind us what is all about for the true soul of house music. Ben Mono service two great tracks with top notch deep basslines, chunky groovy old school house beats and plenty of early house romanticism. Don't Tell is a superb vocal house beauty with Rachel Wallace telling it like it is with her star shinning performance. Its all about good times on the dancefloor and sing a long with hands in the air. For the non vocal diggers there is cool dub version as well to let you experiment with your favourite acapella. Ripple is the more jacking, playful retro early 90's house track with underground basement smell all over it. With chopped vocals, funky organ riffs and deep hypnotic basslines will definitely attract your attention on the dancefloor and keep you swinging it and shaking it until the early morning hours. Love IT
