REVIEW: Alex Nemec & Nik Feral - Pegasus EP out on Takt records

Alex Nemec comes from the small country called Slovenia, the same little country that brought Umek, Laibach and few other biggies to the world!

Starting to play out in clubs in 1998, he is an experienced dj and most surely best know as being one half of Alex & Filip. The duo has been working together since 2005 till late 2012 and their list of originals and remixes is quite sure impressive.

In the time being they had remixed artists like Dave Seaman, Inkfish, Trafik, Kassey Voorn, Jeff Bennet, Tim Andresen, Autophase, Fiord, Subfractal, Ran Shani, Sonic Union & Bastards of Funk and Soulwerk to name a few. Their originals and remixes appeared on highly respected independent labels like Tronic, Respekt, Rekluse, Baroque, Freshin, Flow Vinyl, Lowbit, MUM, Tulipa, Inkfish, Stripped and many more!

Together they have received the support and respect from well established DJ's from all over the dance music scene including tastemakers like John Digweed, Spektre, Fergie, Dave Seaman, Joseph Capriati, Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Tiesto, Mark Knight, Miniminds, Nick Warren, Loco & Jam, Jim Rivers, Mr. Henry Von, Eddie Halliwell, Dubfire and Tomy DeClerque to name but a few!

Now we have Alex Nemec together with Nik Feral on Takt Records for the very first time :) let's see what happens

Dimitri Kechagias review: The super cool record label Takt Records presents the superb EP by Alex Nemec & Nik Feral. Two awesome tracks that will find space within   progressive house and tech house dj sets. The very original and inspiring Pegasus is the more progressive house friendly cut that is driving, energetic and with excellent progression of the various elements. Dark, hypnotic, moody and tripping with fantastic percussion, organic elements and little sweet synthy melody that is played again and again and will be hard not to memorise  it. Its the kind of track that will hook you straight away. Unicorn on the other side is the more tech house friendly so I can imagine wide variety of djs to adopt it for their sets. Chunky groovy tasty beats, funky playful basslines, cool vocal samples and magnificent breakdown that reveals a beautiful electronic synthy riff that leads the track to its final sequence. These two are hot properties so better don't miss them! Love IT
