Dutch duo Isaac Vissers and Rob Koopmans have been responsible for some of Coldharbour Recordings’ outstanding moments over the past couple of years. After a grand entrance with Nightshift, they ascended to even greater heights with Apache, a track label owner Markus Schulz declared as his biggest track of 2013.
And not long after donning the Buenos Aires ’13 compilation with The Battle alongside Nifra, Fisherman & Hawkins are back in focus with two tracks sure to attract many.
Leading the way is Virus - a track which may be familiar to the ID trainspotters who attended Markus’ solo sets throughout the summer season. Following its debut on Global DJ Broadcast in the middle of October, the track picked up the Global Selection accolade in its first attempt, thanks to its addictive melody. Antidote takes a slightly darker twist, but remains no less menacing.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Coldharbour recordings is the well known legendary record label nominated as Best Global Dance Label at the IDMA. The influential label presents the brand new EP by Fisherman & Hawkins including the tracks Virus & Antidote. First of all is the much waited Virus that follow gracefully the successful path of Apache. It combines the depth of the basslines with hard techy beats and dark sinister melodies that create the mysterious spacey chaotic atmosphere that characterise Coldharbour releases. The breakdown is teasing and builds nicely the anticipation for the rave style distorted synthy lead that finally comes out to create excitement and get the crowds jumping and dancing around. When the big drops comes and you lost yourself along with the fellow clubbers you understand how much powerful is that huge melody. Its an Anthem guaranteed for the dark trance lovers. Antidote moves on the same direction but it actually starts with an electro trance style intro and slowly builds its various sound layers towards the breakdown that the two very talented producers presents another huge rave style distorted synthy lead that is very epic and happy. Its the kind of melody that football stadium crowds love cause it brings them together. Two high quality productions with the seal of approval of Markus Schulz. Love it
