REVIEW: Analogue Sound Department - Rhodestep incl original & club mixes on Flashover rec.

One of the biggest hits of Ferry's sets in 2013. Ever since we received this at the Flashover offices Ferry has been jamming it out in every set, not even knowing who was behind this. It instantly became a fan favorite that gets the floor going whenever he drops it.

Fans have been guessing like crazy, even names such as Daft Punk, Dyro and BT vs Chicane came along, but we can finally reveal that this is the brand new "Analogue Sound Department".

After massive singles such as "A", "F" and "Greetings", ASD returns to Flashover with the insanely big and groundbreaking Rhodestep.

Featuring elements of house, techno, dubstep and trance, Rhodestep makes up for the perfect blend of EDM!

Joining the massive Original Mix is the Club Mix.

Check it out on Ferry Corsten's Countdown episode #323

Dimitri Kechagias review: Flashover recordings dominates the global sound systems with its well chosen releases that strike right at the heart of the modern club scene with the latest Ferry Corsten anthem Diss reaching the number 1 position at the beatport trance chart. Now the top label continues to expand our perception of what is acceptable on the dancefloor and delivers the brand new solid and ultra tight anthem Rhodestep by the Analogue Sound Department that is offered in its original and club mixes too. The original mix targets mainly the progressive trance sets and it starts all bouncy and very melodic at the same time. It sounds likes a hybrid of melodic progressive trance with harder edm styles like nu rave and prog house. The breakdown starts with a lovely piano melody and huge rough and raw dubstep sequence. When the hard beat kicks back the track goes for its full on in your face hands in the air euphoric sequence. The Club mix on the other hand is the tougher and more condensed of the two. With less melody and more wobbly squeaky basslines this version targets the EDM house floors. Playful and very adventurous, it focuses on the power of the tough and squeaky basslines. The breakdown is in pretty similar vein with the original with nice piano chords and dubstep roughness. The climax is targeting more on the wild freaky bass and less on the melodic theme that is understated and remains on the background. If you ask me if this track deserves all the hype surrounds it I will confidently state that is worth it and will perform incredibly well whenever you drop it on your floor! Magnificent stuff! Love IT
