REVIEW: Witness45 - Abaddon EP out on Alter Ego Progressive

Ukranian craftsman Witness45 makes his debut on Alter Ego Progressive with a spectacular three track EP including Abaddon, Silence and Shinjoku for release 111!

All three tracks blend a mish mash of hard-knock beats, glittering melodic displays, unusual and heartfelt theme's, poignant top lines, clean, rich undertones and high grooving rhythms! A fine display from this new talent!

The title track Abaddon sets the tone for the EP with it's no nonsense bass line, tight big room percussion, great atmospherics and a real treat of a theme! Slowly building up in the intro with teasing, tension building synth-work and driving low end, Abaddon breaks into a string led breakdown coupled with an emotive lead theme! Building continuously into the climax, Mr.45 leaves you on the edge of your seat until sliding into a more minimal, bass driven pay-off! Don't miss this one!

Silence glimmers with inner magic and outputs lots of feeling! Clever, lulling arpeggios, intricate synthwork, playful undertones and a perfect amount of groove from Mr.45's percussive line! Simmering along into a beautiful melodic breakdown, Silence comes into its own with some throw back saw chimes and brave theme before breaking out into a smashing climax!

Shinjoku carves off a fine debut release from this young talent with a grand display of poignant melodies, serene vocal chops, dreamy pianos, punchy undertones and driving beats!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional trance producer Witness45 from Ukraine strikes back with his magnificent 3 tracks EP on Alter Ego Progressive.  Firstly is Abandon that follows the progressive trance style that is very unique and spacious. Driving, tripping and danceable but at the same time relaxing and calming. With techy edge has tougher approach with less melodic content to it. Silence that is my favourite  includes progressive house influences and is the spacious and sparkling of the three tracks with many melodic layers co-existing in perfect harmony. His breakdown is really good with ambient sounds  and calming atmosphere. Then the huge synthy riff explodes and leads the track to its euphoric feel good climax. Balearic progressive trance at its best that you must be silent with closed eyes to enjoy it to the maximum and let your heartbeat follow the incredible rhythm. Lastly Shinjoku as the title suggests is a wonderful balearic progressive trancer with warm melancholic piano melody and great breakdown with ethereal female voices and orient style music theme that adds exotic touches to it! Blissful after summer trancers to keep warmth and tenderness  in our heart for ever. Love IT
