1.Slowmotion II
2.Slowmotion II (Winkee Remix)
3.Slowmotion II (Tempo Giusto Remix)
If you like your trance intelligent and forward thinking, look no further than Part II of the Slowmotion trilogy. Finland's finest Orkidea & Pure Trance missionary Solarstone have created a unique piece of constantly evolving & mutating Pure Trance music, with remixes taken from Orkidea's '20 - Remixed' album. In its 128bpm Original Mix the first thing to twist the mind is the probably previously-unheard-of-but-still-danceable 7/8 time signature in the main body of the track. The mesmeric lead melody surfaces at the break, and from thereon in builds and develops to a stung crescendo. First up on remix duties are fellow Finlanders Winkee. Opting for a more traditional 4/4 approach, the guys develop the bell arpeggios and fizzy synth melodies into a lush pure trance landscape, with a huge payoff at the drop. Another Finlander recruited for a remix of Tempo Guisto, another producer who likes to experiment with unusual time signature combinati ons, he toughens up the groove a little and adds a triplet-timed building arpeggio line to build tension before the break. It's pedal to the metal all the way mid-break, with futuristic layers of sound combining into something truly special. Mesmeric.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The very talented trance dj & producer Orkidea meets label owner Solarstone for the magnificent Slowmotion II. The original mix is a stunning piece of modern progressive trance with the distinctive high class cinematic epic synthy theme that stays in your mind forever and can easily carry you away and put you in the so called State of Trance. Its packed with melody and emotion that tears your heart in pieces upon the driving deep basslines and groovy beats. Progressive trance at its most inspiring and eclectic that targets the warm up part of progressive / psy trance sets. The additional remixes are the finest you can get with Winkee adding the tougher beats and punchy energetic basslines to drive the track to the ultimate heights. The memorable melodic theme is apocalyptic in a sense and its co-existence with the little bells makes it really exceptional recalling the outstanding Mike Oldfield classics upon danceable beats of course. Full on prog trance at its very best for the peak time moments. Last but not least the quickly rising at the top Tempo Giusto provides his tech trance infused version that is bouncy, banging, melodic, dreamy and tripping with cool tricks and twists that keep the track firmly in the underground. 3 must have versions for any trance lover dedicated to real and pure trance sound.
