Boris Mijolic, known by his artist name Mass Digital / SunsetDistrict was born on 13 February 1987. in Novi Sad, Serbia. This Serbian born music purist is making huge waves in the underground house/techno genre, upsetting the status quo by proving what is possible when one combines undisputed talent and a great deal of passion for music. Hailing from Northern Serbia, Boris developed a deep rooted love for electronic music during his teenage years listening to father's vinyls and tapes all day.
He has won several remix contests, including a big remix contest by top label BluFin for Tomy DeClerque's track "Lowin". His sound stretches somewhere between house and techno, whilst respectfully treading the line between commercial and credible underground.
In the past few months he has signed to big labels like Toolroom - Pacha - BluFin - Tiger - Nervous - Keno - King Street Sounds and more. Remixes and Co - productions with global artist are in work and his studio schedule and interest for his work has no end! The realm of possibilities for one of electronic music’s leading lights is endless.
He is like a hurricane, with performance on Europe's biggest festival Exit 2012, album on Pacha Recordings, single on Toolroom, tracks on Tiger Records and legendary Nervous Records, remixes from top music producers, upcoming releases on vinyl and digitally on labels such as Toolroom, Nervous, Tiger, King Street Sounds, Sincopat, WetYourSelf!, Dialtone, Love Not Money, Louder Music, Stranjjur, I Records, Lapsus Music, Two Birds, Headset, Yellow Tail, Nightbird, Treibjagd, U6 Schallplatten, Vapour, Audio Tonic and more, he can’t stop and he will not stop as long as there's imagination and music in his mind and ears. First is the futuristic deep tech house vocal anthem My Desire. His sound is dark, mysterious, sexy and very danceable. The vocal reminds you soulful house singers from the past and has a retro tendency as well. The track itself sounds analogue, old school and home made like your favourite cinnamon cookies.
