REVIEW: Just Be - After Midnight EP out September 16th on Intec Digital

Intec welcome the return of Just Be, following on from the Jack Yo Body EP.

After Midnight has been hammered by Carl Cox as soon as the track was given to him in Miami, destroying Ultra at the time and remaining a permanent fixture in his sets. A unique sounding record that really stands out.

The Funky Rhythm takes on a more groove based approach, with an energy in the percussion and bassline that will lift any moment in a set.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Just Be is back on Intec and get ready to experience two pretty hot techno gems with enough groove and funk to crossover to tech house sets as well. Just Be presents the magnificent After Midnight that is simply so addictive and hooky that you want to press play and run to the dancefloor. It gives you that excitement and urge to be inside the crowd and feel their sweat while they dance along with it. Tribal techy groovy spanky beats, deep funky basslines, cool melody that remind us the classic Plastic Dreams and superb spoken vocal samples like laughing and short phrases here and there. Absolutely mindblowing upbeat and colourful techno that keeps you asking for more. Its the kind of track that I have identified with  Carl Cox behind the decks playing and dancing with that smile that remind us all that djing is about the people and not your personal fame. Nearly 10 minutes is the top The Funky Rhythm in the b side of this digital techno monster. On the Just Be goes for the tribal tech house territory with excellent live like percussion, very cool spoken vocal samples and relentless build up of the track that sounds that can last for ages. Its great that in the background he allows several samples from classic Latin tracks to come out and reinforce the Latin exotic flavour. Dancefloors weapons Guaranteed! Love IT
