REVIEW: John O'Callaghan - Riders Of Rohan out on WAOF138 / Armada Music

1. Riders Of Rohan (Original Mix)

If anyone has kept the sounds of uplifting alive throughout the years, it’s Irish producer/DJ John O’Callaghan. This guy hasn’t only got a soft spot for the harder sounds of trance music, he also knows how to handle them.

And that’s exactly why he’s next up on the Who’s Afraid of 138?! label.

Let’s trance, to his ‘Riders of Rohan’.

That unstoppable drive. That deep, pounding bass. And eventually, after a quality build-up, the pay-off, the break. A little piece of heaven, that’s what ‘Riders of Rohan’ is.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legend and pioneer of uplifting underground solid trance sound comes on the most suitable record label Who's Afraid Of 138?. John is one of those djs that not only he doesn't afraid to play so fast and hard but also he usually moves even to 140 BPM as well. His first outing on this new label is his uplifting trance banger Riders Of Rohan. Its powerful, dynamic, energising uplifting trancer that constantly builds its elements towards the  teasing breakdown that cinematic samples and operatic style voices come to the surface to create the magical soundscape for the listener to escape for a while. Slowly the big synthy riff appears to lead us all beautifully to the final sequence that uplifting trance fans will appreciate it to the maximum. John O Callaghan never lost his hardcore and he is always firmly placed within the underground. Love IT
