Flux Focus on Heathers - It's Alright Not To Feel Ok incl Animal Trainer / David B mixes on Warner Music

It has always been the great artist duos that really turned the wheels of cultural history: Ying and Yang, Laurel and Hardy, Siegfried and Roy. The latter’s connection to ANIMAL TRAINER definitely can’t be denied. While Siegfried and Roy might be taming white tigers though, ANIMAL TRAINER are specialising in black vinyl and the dancing crowd.

Both children of the illustrious nightlife of trend capital Zurich, Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson have made a name for themselves with their Rakete parties, held mostly at their home base, the chic Hive club. Meanwhile, the rest of the world has also been infected with the animal fever: whether it’s Watergate, Kater Holzig or Harry Klein, no European top club can escape the paws of the Swiss boys. Since there debut release on Stil Vor Talent in 2008 ANIMAL TRAINER have had numerous releases on renowned labels such as Poker Flat, Dantze, Katermukke as well as their own Hive Audio, on which they always strike a remarkable balance between tight grooves, infectious hooks and a whole lot of L.O.V.E.

When we had news that this hip production duo got their remixing hands on HEATHERS - one of the hottest singer/songwriter acts from Ireland - we knew it will turn out something really special or even magical we have to share with you. So here it is….

Their debut album ‘Here, Not There‘ garnered widespread acclaim internationally amongst both fans and media alike for its unique melodic hooks and extraordinary vocals. The album achieved Gold sales status in Ireland and received a further boost when the lead single ‘Remember When’ was used on a major Discover Ireland TV and Radio ad campaign. The track in question was dubbed the “soundtrack to the Irish summer” and became a #1 single for Heathers.

Also in the UK they played as part of HMV’s Next Big Thing, and performed two brilliantly-received shows at Camden Crawl Festival London in addition to a sell-out headline show at London’s Barfly supported by live sessions and airplay support from BBC Radio 1 (Nick Grimshaw and Fearne Cotton), BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq), BBC Radio 2 (Graham Norton & Janice Long), in addition to XFM, Absolute Radio and others.

The pair is now delighted to have signed to Warner Music Germany for Central Europe where the first single ‘It’s Alright Not To Feel OK' taken from their second album 'Kingdom' will be released. The album is now also set for release over coming months in the UK, Japan, Scandinavia and North America.

If you are on a trip to Hamburgs Reeperbahnfestival this week don't miss their performance at Prinzenbar on Sept. 28th.
