REVIEW: Ultimate - If We Were E.P out on Infrasonic recordings

After the recent success of ‘Few Nights’, whiz kid Ultimate is back for more with his next double header in the form of the breath-taking ‘If We Were’ E.P.

Continuing his 2013 account at a blistering pace and producing some of this year’s biggest tracks and remixes, the Russian maestro delivers his biggest showcase to date. We start with ‘If We Were’ and in true Ultimate style; it’s a blistering, euphoric journey with huge epic, big room potential and emotive appeal.

Always being bold and delivering something fresh, Utimate serves up ‘Planetarium’. Another premium slice of Ultimate goodness with its playful mould and huge uplifting vibe, the Russian star sure knows how to tickle that trance bone of the global trance family.

Dimitri Kechagias review: If you check out the comments of the trance fans underneath the videos of the latest Ultimate If We Were EP you can easily understand why he is considered to be one of the upcoming and quickly rising to the top uplifting trance masters. If you dont feel at ease with the hybrid trance sound that seems to dominate the scene at the moment, Ultimate clear things up for you and deliver the pure honest uplifting feel good trance sound. If We Were is a driving melodic uplifting trancer with banging beats, energetic and driving basslines, chopped female voices and incredible synths that support our dream journey to be comfortable and feel at home. The breakdown is the space that Ultimate will cast a spell on you with its creamy relaxing vibes and euphoric synths that slowly come to the surface to raise excitement and lead to the full on take me to heaven kind of climax. Closed eyes, hands in the sky and tired feet from dancing are the side effects of this beauty. Planetarium as the title suggests is a driving melodic trancer that invests more in the atmosphere and the mental images that can create in your mind with the rich and wide variety of soundlayers. Just imagine yourself looking to the galaxy from Planetarium and you will be surprised to find that your emotions are perfectly translated into musical notes from Ultimate. Just check out the highly emotional piano melody in the breakdown and the rest will follow. Its so GOOD! Love iT
