Dimitri Kechagias review: So glad to see Pet Shop Boys coming back with their witty English sense of humour in their lyrics recalling some of their finest moments in the past and reconnecting with new generation of fans. Love is a Bourgeois Construct is definitely not another ordinary pop track. It has its message and point of view on things and will make you dance and think along. The remix package as always is the finest you can get for the legendary duo. Claptone remix is a warm deep tech house version with nice claps, melancholic melodies, techy chunky beats and deep warm and soothing basslines. This version is offered in vocal and dub version. Little Boots go for a dub version. Their version is cool nu disco sound with very funky electro inspired basslines, colourful synths, great percussion and vocal chops here and there. If you play that indie disco sound you will fell in love with it. Penelopes remix is staying close to the original mix with disco influenced synthy melodies recalling Go West and pumping beats and basslines to keep happy retro clubs and discos. Lastly Dave Aude provides the dirty dub & dirty instrumental remixes that transform the original into a massive hybrid of electro and progressive house into an explosive combination of energetic beats, punchy basslines, hip house vocal samples and great epic synths.
