We start with 'Exit' and in true Meridian style, grabs your attention from the off. The deep sub rumble and cool percussion ease you in, where at the break it's a huge fanfare which encapsulates a divine array of epic synths and chords to create that perfect riff.
Not afraid to step left of centre, Meridian showcases yet another fine slice of electronic music in the form of 'If Not Then What'. With a moody, yet cool bass note and vibe, coupled with its plucky notes and exquisite and emotive drop, Meridian has it all wrapped up once again.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Infrasonic recordings is the homebase of the uber talented artist Meridian who returns on the label with 2 super strong progressive trance beauties called Exit / If Not Then What. Firstly is powerful progressive trancer Exit. Driving basslines, pumping beats, blissful melodic themes and constant progression of the huge uplifting inspiring riff that dominates that great track. Its hypnotic, dreamy, epic and highly euphoric what some may call as balearic summery sun kissed trance. The production is so good that will recall trance classics from labels like Bonzai in Belgium. Second equally magnificent track is the strangely entitled If Not Then What? Its driving energetic 130 BPM progressive trancer with stand out element its very emotional and really sensitive main melodic theme. When this particular theme appears within the track you feel your hair raised cause it crawls under your skin and target straight to your heart.Music is an art and as such it express with notes, rythms and melodies what our heart and soul has hidden deep inside .
