REVIEW: Vicky Devine - What To Do out on In Trance We Trust / Black Hole

1. Original Mix

Vicky Devine's previous collaborations with Ali Wilson on the tracks "Devil's Wine" and "POW" reaped massive support and now she's back with the brand new solo single "What To Do".

Vicky Devine built her rep as an established producer, TV and radio presenter and promoter. Her career took her all over the world; hard work that led to an eight year residency at one of the most well known nights in Ibiza: Judgement Sundays. She also spun at superclub “BCM” on Mallorca, was part of their large events including the Radio One Weekenders and DJ’ed on a weekly basis on the main upper floor. Her singles “Forgotten Lies”, “Starfire”, “Give Me Love” and remixes gained the support of Armin Van Buuren, Tiësto, Paul Van Dyk, Gareth Emery, Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson and she played alongside Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell, Sander Van Doorn, Marco V and Gareth Emery.

With "What To Do" Vicky delivers a massive trance/tech trance workout on the Balearic tip. Breaking down the door with a towering composition for synths and strings, the track unfolds into an incredible hands in the air break. "What To Do" is an absolute killer track for the festival season.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The brilliant Vicky Devine returns on Black Hole recordings imprint In Trance With Trust with the track What To Do that deserves to get a release under the heavy name and worldwide reputation of the well known and beloved record label. Her absolutely mouthwatering production is called What To Do and better expect the unexpected cause What you Can Do when this will be played from your favourite dj is to dance so intense like this is your last ever time you will be allowed to wiggle your hips. Vicky is about to show her muscles and teeth as she delivers the goods. What To Do combines elements of tribal melodic techno with trancy melodies on top. The vocal sample repeating the title is  staying at the very background. On the front the focus is on the thunderous distorted basslines and the power charging energetic  beats. The breakdown is pretty quite with emotional piano chords to feel mellow and sweet. The moment when  the manic beat drops the crowd will feel that unexplained with logic rush to start dancing and jumping to express their gratitude for the satisfaction they get from it. The piano theme is coming back at the final sequence of the track to finish off the proceedings with the nice melody stucked in your head. Highly recommended. love iT!
