REVIEW: Giuseppe Ottaviani & Ferry Corsten - Magenta out on Black Hole

1-Magenta(Extended mix)

Over the last month ‘Love Will Bring It All Around’ - the curtain raiser for Giuseppe’s extraordinary second artist album - has been generating all the right types of floor-reaction. With barely a pause for breath, the virtuoso trance producer has ‘Love’s follow-up primed to join the fray. Certain to delight co-production fans, the album’s title track sees Giuseppe joined behind the mixing desk for the first time by none other than superstar titan Ferry Corsten.

On a track that MIXMAG’ has already labelled “euphoria on tap” (and scored 8/10 in their July issue review), the pair’s Original Mix of ‘Magenta’ sets its sights Everest-high… and doesn’t stop climbing till the top of the drop! Galvanized by Giuseppe’s highly charged drums, full-thrust bass and ceaselessly infectious intro-melodies, the track melts into its luminous plucked string mainline. Raising the tension yet further still, Corsten’s hand applies characteristic FX squelch and electro-ish aftertouch, which post-break send ‘Magenta’ full-flight.

Remixes (from Heatbeat and Greg Downey) are also on fast approach, so take this summer-ready smash and use it to wreak havoc on your nearest club floor!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Giuseppe Ottaviani is one of the most creative trance producers with incredible classics under his belt and with the magnificent album Magenta released on time just before the big open air summer festivals and summer vacations that we all buy an album to keep us great companion in our holidays. One of the tracks that deserves to get full release as single is the instrumental euphoric slammer Magenta co-produced with the pioneer and legend of EDM scene Ferry Corsten.  The Extended mix will be out soon and the remix package will follow later date. When two very talented and real bright producers collide in the studio and combine their creative impulses you  feel excited with just the idea of it in your mind. When you press play and you let the energetic vibes come out from the speakers the first excitement becomes over excitement and then the only way is UP higher than the sun, sky, moon, stars and the rest of the mysterious galaxies. The track is a solid prime time weapon  with tough rocking bouncy beats, energetic and quite aggressive basslines with feel good euphoric synths on top. The track remains in your face and very melodic at the same time perfectly in tune with what is hot at the clubs at the moment. The breakdown reveals the symphonic influenced melodic theme that can easily crawl under your skin and charge you with energy and positivity. The euphoric synths slowly come to the top to overwhelm you and prepare you for the massive drop. When the manic naughty wild and furious beats and powerful basslines return with the massive classic symphonic synthy lead on board you can easily guess that the crowd will go ballistic and  Supercallifragilisticexpialidocious as Mary Poppins said in the legendary movie.  Magenta is the instrumental trance hymn for the Summer 2013. Lets hope that the grey world will turn into Magenta. Love iT!
