Two slices of Christian Drost's production here. First up is the fabulous 'Space & Time', warm subby bass and a heads-down sequenced synth lay the groundwork for this dark and deep progressive trance journey. At the drop a Jarre-esque analogue line bubbles through the mix, dark pads ascend and we're back in the sublime groove. On the flip is something altogether different; a soothing melodic Balearic-tinged mid-paced trance offering with a classy riff that surfaces at the break. More-ish.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The superb record label Crashing Waves presents the beautiful brand new EP by Christian Drost including the superb tracks Space In Time and Essence. Both sounds perfectly timed to be released during the summer season as both have that summery, sweety and balearic feel to them. Space In Time is deep driving, trippy and spacey as well. The production is incredibly rich with many different sound layers that put fire in our imagination while we dance to it and we start creating in our mind several mental images. Quality production that recalls the classic era of progressive trance. Essence is more upfront, colourful, enlightening production with various melodic layers, warm strings and chunky beats. The rhythm is very positive and you can imagine starting your date with it while the sun is rising your favourite jock is dropping it and the early morning crowd goes bonkers to it. Two must play trance gems for the warm up hour! Love iT!
