REVIEW: Hectic - Skeleton out on Rub A Duck / Black Hole recordings

1. Skeleton
 2. Stand Still

With the success of his previous EPs still following him, Hectic returns with another ground shaking single featuring the tracks "Skeleton" and "Stand Still".

For the fans the name Tim Fitzpatrick is no surprise anymore; known in the industry as Hectic, the man has dropped a wide variety of acclaimed tracks in a very short period of time, ranging from dubstep to glitch hop to garage and UK bass music. Hectic's previous releases, including the tracks “Complex”, “Evolve”, “Fatal”, “Sudden Death”, “Don’t Tell Me”, “Zone 10”, “How Could You” and “You Got Me” have established his name once and for all. This time the highly charged dubstep bangers "Skeleton" and "Stand Still" sweep the floor with the competition, confirming the fact that Hectic truly represents the underground sound for the Rub A Duck imprint, delivering his material straight from the London underground scene.

Both "Skeleton" and "Stand Still" deliver a raw, uncut and heavy dubstep workout to the dancefloors. Setting the pace with relentless beats in a spacious and rough soundscape, it is clear that Hectic gives a new twist to the dubstep genre. Perfect for an extended mix transition from one track to the other, Hectic's cuts "Skeleton" and "Stand Still" are the taylor made singles for the seriously harder drops.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Rub A Duck is the highly successful record label of Black Hole recordings focusing on various forms of bass music and one of the finest regular artists on the record label is Hectic from London UK. His latest EP includes two great tracks with attitude and personality and are of course must check out. Skeleton is a magnificent slow dub step track with great underground feel to it. You can smell the moist and you can feel the cold breeze like walking on the wild rough side of your city that the good ones co-exist with the bad ones. Its perfect for those unpredictable dangerous minds out there. Hectic manage to create that atmosphere and he is very good at it.  Stand Still is the favourite on the package with the cinematic atmosphere that is highlighted from the melancholic piano chords, hip hop style vocal samples, tough and super rough slow and distorted  basslines. It has that ability to transfer your mind to another place and give you the chance to experience life in the fast lane. Hectic paints with his sonic colors  two state of the art  futuristic urban soundtracks not to be missed. Like iT!
