The Original mix of 'Aftersurf' is a beautiful sun-kissed pure trance record, awash with lush pads & gentle synth touches which hint at past Balearic classics. The Forerunners remix is peak-time Pure Trance music, swirling arpeggios, those summery piano notes and warm pads embrace the listener with a warm & fuzzy glow. Also added to this release is the version which Solarstone has been playing out for past months; which overdubs the famous Rikki Lee Jones acapella to sublime effect. Blissed out.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Solarswarm is back on track with release number 19. After the previous chill/lounge release we are right and exact on the melodic progressive trance side that we adore so much. When you will hear the magnificent Aerium track Aftersurf I'm pretty sure that you will feel that summer is getting closer so you better start working out with your colleagues when you will get your summer holidays and book them early to avoid disappointment. If you surf the web searching for holiday destinations while you hear on the PC speakers Aftersurf you will choose Ibiza for sure cause it recalls Chicane music and is blissful,colourful and sunny. It is packed with positive melodies and feel good vibrations so certainly the timing for its release is the best. I'm glad that after long time one of my favourite artists Forerunners returns with an epic remix of gigantic proportions on his very personal and distinctive pure trance sound that is flowing, floating, energetic and most importantly simple and melodic without use of gimmicks and cheap effects to impress. If you believe that trance is the modern equivalent of classical music this remix will definitely reinforce that belief. Of course Solarstone's idea to include that magnificent "Little Fluffy Clouds" acapella in it works really well and elevate the track to the next level that Solarstone productions are of course.
