2.Requiem (Original Mix)
According to Max Graham, he’s at the eve of his big breakthrough. When listening to his latest E.P., you know that he could very well be right. Steve Haines returns to Re*Brand, with the magnificent duo of ‘Charged’ & ‘Requiem’.
In times like these, nothing’s more difficult than to stand out. But to UK’s rising talent Steve Haines, that’s no problem. His new duo, the successors to ‘Airflow’ & ‘Motion’, walk the fine line of prog, house and trance, without pigeonholing any style.
Both ‘Charged’ & ‘Requiem’ rush in, slow and steady but without hesitation.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Re*Brand is one of the hottest Armada Music sublabels with great music and great new breed of upcoming artists. One of them is of course Steve Haines who deliver his very energetic club bangers Charged & Requiem. Charged is an intresting mixture of dark moody progressive house with progressive trance. The result is a versatile club slammer that is destined to get plays from trance and prog house jocks. Powercharged driving basslines, relentlessly building pumping beats and choped vocal samples with some cool melodies on top. Rough and ready for heavy action track so play it and charge your crowd. Requiem on the other side is the more melodic, blissful progressive trance affair with psy trance influences as well. Packed with adrenaline shots is the kind of track that you play and you witness your audience slowly getting into it until the burst of energy and power in its hard hitting climax. The breakdown includes ethnic style vocals, melancholic synthy riffs that builds the tension to unlease it in its powerful climax. Steve Haines is one to watch and this Top EP reveals two sides of his big talent. Love iT
