Polish producer Matt Bukovski makes his grand debut on the A State of Trance label. After a 3 year build-up, he lands the magical ‘Eterna’ on A State of Trance 2013, accelerating his career. ‘Eterna’ warms like the sun, making a perfect fit for CD1 and any dance floor it’s about to meet.
Norwegian duo The Blizzard, known for future classics ‘Kalopsia’ and ‘Piercing The Fog’, team up with upcoming producer Daniel van Sand. Their moving ‘Made For You’ is fortified by the significant voice of UK’s Julie Thompson. Her powerful vocals and heavy words make this deep prog-trancer rise to uplifting. A solid tune that rushes right in.
Perfectly home to the ‘On The Beach’ theme that reigns on ASOT2013’s CD1, is the latest summer jam of UK producer VillaNaranjos. Armin kept a close eye on young talent Zak Woodman, who’s the mastermind behind the VillaNaranjos jewels. His ‘Jalon’ might not go as deep as his ‘Granadella’ and ‘Portichol’, but it still has that dreamy, deep sound that he’s become known for. Pure quality.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Armin van Buuren is the big protagonist in the trance scene at the moment with his ASOT 600 in full effect at the moment spreading the message to Turn The World Into A Gigantic Dancefloor. Armin's also compilation A State of Trance that tops the compilation charts worldwide is back with its 2013 edition that is divided in two great parts. For the pleasure of the djs who would love to add a bit of Armin's magic in their sets Armada Music presents the first sampler with full length versions coming from the first On The Beach CD. Its strange but if you check them all out they offer you that urge to get your headphones and go to nearest Beach and walk around by nodding or even dancing upon the warm golden sand. First on that sampler is excellent collaboration between The Blizzard & Daniel van Sand featuring the magnificent Julie Thompson on vocal duties. The track is called Made For You and we can guess that is dedicated to someone really special. The warm colourful texture and the euphoric synths combined with Julie's vocals and her exceptional performance of the deep and moving lyrics create a magical cinematic soundscape that will travel your mind to far away places. The breakdown is pure class with piano, guitars and ambient atmosphere until the uplifting synths to appear to lead the track towards its climax for that pay off moment that everybody is waitng for. Of course is danceable and perfect to have a good time on the dancefloor too. Second amazing choice is VillaNaranjos with his tasty Jalon. Its a smooth balearic proglifting trancer that is sugar sweet with tribal beats, driving basslines , sunkissed strings, and the main ingredient of success is the memorable guitar melody that transfer you instantly by the seaside. Last track on this sampler is Matt Bukovski and his proglifting trance beauty Eterna. Matt well known for his more uplifting bouncy sounds moves on the other side of the spectrum and delivers his atmospheric warm progtrancer with deep basslines, techy beats, wahh wahh type of female vocals and of course luscious melodies to warm your heart and put the light on too. Dont be fooled though cause the track is perfect to dance along and use it as bridge between the deeper stuff and the more uplifting ones. Its one of those tracks that will be loved and after many years for Eternity. Three stand out choices from one of the best compilations for 2013. Are you not still in a state for trance? Love IT
