2011, the Berlin DJ Jacob Dilßner aka Wankelmut added his remix for Asaf Avidanon on SoundCloud profile that had not yet
been authorized. Under
the name of "Reckoning Song / One Day" the title conquered the charts and reached # 1 on
Beatport, iTunes # 1 and # 1 Media Control Single Charts with
double-platinum status in Germany. Published by Sony / Columbia / Four Music this great track reach # 1 on 8
European countries with 1.1 million units sold and 75 million YouTube plays.
Wankelmut, he launched his career as dj in Berlin's underground club scene playing in clubas such as Sisyphus or Mikz. As a result of his success he was booked for a lot of pan-European events and consequently at the end of 2012 awarded "Newcomer of the Year" by the renowned electronic music magazine GROOVE. Especially the fun and musical diversity between deep house and techno, which Wankelmut presents in his DJ sets helped him to become a respected and recognized figure in the German electronic music and DJ scene. His remixes for artists such as Gossip, Luke Graham, Oliver Schories and Jay Haze strengthened far more his status as a remixer and producer.
A close relationship developed in the course of 2012 with the renowned Berlin label "Get Physical Music", were Wankelmut in fall 2012 launched his own mix compilation series "Wankel Moods" and in January 2013 exclusively his club single "My head is a Jungle" is published on Beatport and 12inch vinyl . The Australian singer-songwriter Emma Louise does the vocals on it. With remixes by Gui Boratto, Kasper Bjorke and Solee the title could get straight into the top 50 of the Beatport charts. In April 2013 the single "My head is a Jungle" with all the mixes will be released via B1 Recordings/Universal.
Moreover, Wankelmut will perform on many festivals around the world including Miami Winter Conference, Timewarp, Sonar, Melt and Dockville.
