Closing 2012 with two huge releases; 'We Are Lucky People' & 'Destination Anywhere', Lange is back starting 2013 as he means to go on.
Reworking an ultimate trance classic, originally produced by Rollo from Faithless under the alias O.T. Quartet in 1994, 'Hold That Sucker Down' is given a new lease of life. Lange continues on his current progressive trance wave, adding a chunky club bass and high note riffs, whilst developing the timeless lead strings in this epic melody.
The track reaped huge reactions from 15,000 clubbers at Lange's 2012 NYE set in San Francisco and is set to be another hit from the trance master.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The mega-talented musician/producer and of course crowd pleasing entertainer Dj Lange returns with his new single that will surprise many as he goes back to the ultimate dance classics vault and decides to rework in his own very cool way the massive classic Hold that Sucker Down that latest Jerome Ismae refreshed it as well. Lange service a fantastic new version that will recall the classic but most importantly has its own stance and vision on how can you turn a classic into a current dancefloor favourite. His version moves on 130 BPM and its simply outstanding. The chunky electro influenced beats and basslines are combined to create a very strong soundbed that upon it the classic synthy riffs from the original track are carefully appear to tease the audience. The first breakdown is used to reveal a massive orchestral music style part that adds some classical music touches too. The real deal is the 2nd biggest breakdown that the original epic synthy lead is unleashed to get the crowds crazy and bouncing along. When the beat strikes back for the final part of the track on top is the classic melody that will ring a bell or two in the heads of your clubbers who will be very pleasantly surprised from it! Of course what is not in is the female vocal of the original version. I guess Stuart want to focus in the musical side of the track rather than turn it into a vocal sing a long anthem. Intro mix is perfect as set starter for your trance adventures.Highly recommended. Love iT!
