Three tracks signed thanks to the reactions of the Global DJ Broadcast listeners - that is the beauty of Markus Schulz’s Coldharbour Selections series. One of the unique features of this heralded label, the 30th edition marks debuts and returns for producers under the spotlight, but all with talents that deserve to be shared.
Kiev’s Yura Moonlight is first up with Harrier - a stronghold in Markus’ livesets over recent months, and evidenced by its inclusion on his upcoming World Tour Best of 2012 CD. It’s not the only compilation berth Harrier will receive, the track has also been earmarked for attention in the inaugural edition of the Coldharbour Presents mix series, mixed by KhoMha.
Now spending his days in Istanbul, DJ Tarkan is up next with the beautiful Sad Story. A favorite of many due to his highly regarded “Remember Us” with V-Sag under the Motehra alias, Sad Story is a beautiful melodic piece with groovy undertones, and has worked wonders for Markus in the early hours of his extended and solo sets around the globe.
And last but not least, Russian Sensetive5 follows up his excellent Starfall track with one just as appealing, aided by good friend Gordey Tsukanov. One of the highlights of the Ibiza Summer Sessions season and still one of the most requested tracks on Global DJ Broadcast, Elegance is a dark journey with many built-in chapters, and one that fans can sit back from a distance and admire.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the must have items in any progressive minded trance dj is the exceptional Coldharbour Selections series that in a way documents the history of progressive trance according to EDM historian and global star dj Markus Schulz. The 30th episode of the amazing series includes 3 precious jewels that should be loved and remain classics as well. First of all is the Sad Story by Dj Tarkan. The well known progressive house dj and producer moves to the trance territory with a deep melodic floating and flowing piece that is relaxing and warming like a nice cup of apple tea with cinnamon. Its definitely a melancholic piece that works like a treat in any warm up set. The very talented Sensetive5 & Gordey Tsukanov combine their forces for Elegance. Its a nine minutes epic music odyssey with blissful atmosphere, bubbly beats, deep basslines and very strong melodic theme in the breakdown that is not the euphoric one that you expect. Its rather darker and more elegant as the title of the track implies. Of course the climax is full on, rough and furious as we love it to be perfect to raise the tension and move the set to tougher selections. Last but not least Yura Moonlight is on board as well with Harrier. Very different from any other of his productions. Full on tech trance anthem with cool percussion, weird noises, spacey sound effects and XXL rave style synthy lead that will have an immediate and fatal impact on the dancefloor. For all the djs and producers who are openminded and they dont afraid to challenge their taste by choosing something different this series remains a must own item. Dont miss the beauties. Love iT!
