1. Silver
2. Sonics
Hectic drops his brand new Sonics EP on the Wildlife imprint, featuring the tracks "Silver" and "Sonics".
With his previous releases that appeared on the Rub A Duck imprint, Hectic (alias of Tim Fitzpatrick) has built a solid reputation as a producer. Hectic's singles have all received acclaim in the industry: his Game Over EP for instance stormed the Breaks charts on Beatport and was successfully followed up with Hectic's Believe And Achieve EP, which featured the vocals of fellow Londoner Leighanna. Hectic delivers his material straight from the London underground scene, but refuses to limit himself to one style only. On this new EP, his first release for Wildlife, Hectic approaches things from a different angle.
"Silver" opens the EP with an ingenious bit of deep house. Swirling synths on top of hard beat programming and subtle vocal bits give the arrangement of the track an urging drive straight to the dance floor. Moving on to "Sonics", a definite tech house single. Hectic focuses on percussion, clubby beats and rattling synths that add a certain underground feel to the tune. Two slammers that bear Hectic's mark of a profuse producer.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Wildlife is an openminded label that reflects the open arms of EDM scene to young talents like Hectic. His latest EP on the prolific house imprint of Black Hole recordings is definitely a surprise for his fans on his Rub A Duck releases. He now moves to the deep house direction and he delivers two great futuristic unconventional deep tech house groovers that will find open ears and supporters too. Sonics is a superb short in length but with long impact on the dancefloor tech house gem. It has a garage underground dirty feel to it with some very cool samples and effects that give you the impression that Hectic has a very creative attitude towards music production and he aspires to produce tracks that have references to other tracks but without following the rules of the genre. Second deeper more hypnotic tech house monster track is Silver. It applies moody deep dark basslines, synthy stabs, chopped vocal samples and on top blippy melodies that add some colour and light. Its the kind of track that can give a nice kick in any house set with great style. The house music is always changing and evolving, check Hectic's contribution on that process. Love IT!
