REVIEW: Alex Villanueva - Goodfellas Remixes Part 2 out on Baroque records

The second package of remixes of the bootyfull gift that is Goodfellas, features David Granha, Pete McCarthy, Nicholas Van Orton, Diego Poblets & Matteo Monero

Granha brings in a twisted industrial techno take on the original.. messed up electronic battle beats at their finest here.. then Pete McCarthy & Nicholas Van Orton both bring around some slick floaty progressive vibes.

Diego Poblets also adds some melodic flavour with his mix, but with a touch of tech .. and finally Matteo Monero gives us a bouncy traditional progressive house number

another large selection of remixes on this one..

Dimitri Kechagias review: From the hottest and legendary progressive house imprint Baroque records comes another stunning re-release of the top tune GoodFellas by Alex Villanueva  with fresh remixes by great artists. As it seems from the promo feedback so far the prog house community welcomed this great package that is divided in two parts. The second part landed on my email box and it contains 5 heavy new versions. David Granha remix is spacey, funky, tech house reduction of the original with irresistible groove, distorted vocal samples and cool melodics on top. Pete McCarthy on the other side moves to the deep progressive house direction and delivers a really addictive version with cool synths, bubbly beats, haunting dark basslines and spacey effects. Its the perfect way to warm up your floor. Nicholas van Orton moves towards a more traditional deep progressive house direction that is driving, travelling and very inspiring determined to take you for a journey with the cool melodic themes on top. Diego Poblets remix is the more upfront ready for peak time placement within a cool progressive house set. Its bouncy, raw and absolutely breathtaking. Matteo Monero closes the package nicely and tidy with his deep tech house version that has some psy trance influences as well. According to the feedback so far its shaped to become one of the first progressive house must have's item for 2013. Like iT!
