REVIEW: AKL - 10 Years out on Perceptive recordings

1-Original mix
2-Pizz@dox remix
3- Arisen Flame remix
4- Alex Wright remix

Esteemed UK trance producer Akira Kayosa teams up with New Zealand's Leighton Smith to introduce the alias AKL and their flavoursome uplifter 10 Years!

The original has somewhat of a classic feel to it and with its encapsulating theme, is no doubt a breath of fresh air for both purests and those who cling firmly to the roots of uplifting trance!

Czech producer Pizz@dox, Polish starlet Arisen Flame and UK talent Alex Wright are all on hand to put this one through its paces, each seizing the opportunity to impress as their efforts tick all the right boxes!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Perceptive recordings had an amazing 2012 with some fantastic releases on the various sublabels. The last release for 2012 comes on the main label Perceptive recordings for a high quality uplifting trance beauty delivered from Akira and Leighton who form the project AKL for the magnificent trancer 10 Years that includes a great package of supporting remixes. First of all the original mix is a full on straight to the point uplifting banger that is fast and furious, driving and exciting, euphoric and melodic of the highest variety. The breakdown reveals the unforgettable quite melancholic theme that drives the track forward towards its flying in the air and what you say I don't care type of climax. Pizz@dox slowdown the bpm and delivers a stunning 130 BPM progressive trancer with electro dirty basslines, euphoric feel good synths on top and tribalish techy beats. Its travelling, balearic and one of those tunes that can keep the long trance set going and going for long. His climax is quite surprising as he pitched up the synthy themes by creating a psy trance effect in it. Arisen Flame transforms the original into a rougher, tougher, metier, hi-nrg peak time euphoric trancer with sweet atmospheric breakdown with luscius melodies and heavenly style vocal samples. The climax is effective as you wanted to be without experimentation and new ideas. Last but not least the UK talent Alex Wright provides a very strong proglifting trance version that combines playful basslines and groovy beats upon swirling euphoric synths and blissful melodies. His breakdown is really cinematic and relaxing perfect to calm before the sound storm of the hands in the air climax. Pure Trance at its best. Love iT!
