We Were There for first time at Amsterdam Dance Event. For 5 days from 17th till 21st of October the vibrant multicultural city of Amsterdam becomes the focus point of the Electronic Dance Music Industry. Now in its 17th year ADE is the most important platform about and around EDM as it combines very informative conferences, plenty of opportunities for networking and during the night spread across the city of Amsterdam wide variety of events that represent the various styles and substyles of EDM at the moment with appearances from the most famous djs and producers worldwide including Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and many more.
On Thursday 18th of October the superstar dj and pioneer EDM producer Ferry Corsten presented for very first time at ADE is Full on Ferry show at the brand new event location Undercurrent in co-operation with the very successful event organisation company UDC. The show included mouthwatering solo performance by Ferry Corsten who played all his biggest hits and many of the forthcoming tracks including his collaboration with Markus Schulz and great guest performances from the Dutch dynamite Sied van Riel who blow our minds off, the legend producer Nick Bracegirdle with his influential project Chicane Live with hair raising performances of classics such as Saltwater, Showtek who unleash their manic harder side of house, Bassjackers with his punchy dirty dutch/epic house sound and Aly and Fila as the final set for an unforgettable uplifting full on climax.
The incredible event that was excellently conceived and organised in every little small detail included a 2nd room hosted by Solarstone with his Pure Trance concept that included performances by Solarstone, Giuseppe Ottaviani Live, Orkidea, Daniel Kandi & John OO Fleming. The music policy was Pure Uplifting trance the way we Loved and we continue to Love this genre.
Ferry Corsten the following day took part on the great pannel "Every beat counts-How to invest in yourself" organised by SENA responsible to protect the neighbouring rights of EDM artists at Felix Meritis. The panel included also the Dutch female dj Marcella, Steve Rodway of the Motiv8 project and the real legend of soulful house the admirable singer Ce Ce Rogers. Ferry talked about and shared his experience as an artist and successful label owner of Flashover recordings. He was really confident to present the various steps he took to establish himself and his company and he urged the young artists to become more active in their self promotion as the world wide web offers countless opportunities to promote their art and themselves as djs, artists and label owners.
At the end of this very informative panel I requested Ferry to do an interview as always Ferry was very polite to accept it despite the fact that he had to finish his Once Upon A Night vol.3 compilation that will be out at the end of November. Within this superb interview Ferry Corsten talks about the big importance of ADE in the music industry and what is really going on in it. He give us his opinion about the explosion of the Electronic Dutch Music Industry and the dominance of Dutch EDM artists in a global scale. He make his positive appraisal of the Full on Ferry event. He comments for his guest artists, the Undercurrent venue and the event company UDC that he work together for various projects including Full on Ferry in Holland. He make a quick round up of the past events and he reveals the future Full on Ferry events all over the globe. He also answers on the very important questions when a promoter books a Full on Ferry what is included in it. On the production front he tell us about his 2nd collaboration with Markus Schulz for the remake of the classic Jam & Spoon anthem Stella and we finish off with his forthcoming compilation Once Upon a Night vol3 that will be out soon on his joint venture Premier recordings along with Black Hole recordings. Ferry at its best and most creative period. You will Love Him!
