We Were There for first time at the world famous Amsterdam Dance Event. It was the 17th year that this great Electronic Dance Music gathering took place and included not only very informative conferences and discussions about EDM culture and the industry that has grown up around it but also very entertaining events during the whole day like movie screenings and at night the best club events organised in the most famous locations in Amsterdam.
In 2012 for the first time the floating venue/boat The Undercurrent hosted some of the most successful nights including Full on Ferry / Pure Trance event. On the big room superstar dj Ferry Corsten hosted his Full on Ferry concept with him playing his set and then b2b sets with his guests plus dj sets from his guests as well including Sied van Riel, Chicane Live, Bassjackers, Showtek, Aly & Fila and surprise appearance from Roger Shah too. On the second room Rich Solarstone presented his tour concept Pure Trance including great artists who played their "Pure Trance" sound including Orkidea, Giuseppe Ottaviani Live, John OO Flemming and the fantastic Danish superstar Daniel Kandi. He rocked the club with his uplifting anthems plus his more progressive infused tracks too. Daniel is on the rise and this performance proved that big time.
Before he go on stage and after burning the cds with brand new tunes to play at the event we had a great interview with him that you should watch right now. We ask his opinion and experience for the Pure Trance event. He tell us that he is not only uplifting trance producer and he likes to incorporate other elements as well in order to deliver a more versatile sound as this is illustrated in his 3 Strikes UR in single that was produced especially for Armin van Buuren's compilation Universal Religion Chapter 6. We discuss about his successful record label Always Alive and he tell us what kind of demos he expects to receive from established and brand new talents. He reveals all about his latest mix compilation Enhanced Sessions vol.3 that is out now on Enhanced recordings and the 2nd CD is mixed by Estiva. He tell us how long it took him to choose the tracks for this compilation and he choose the stand out tracks from it. Also he talks about his experience of playing JJoo track in JJoo home country.
