After the grand success of his collab with Aly & Fila, Roger Shah presents the next musical pearl of his ‘OpenMinded?!’ album. The Balearic master is back at play, and presents the warming ‘Island’ feat. Adrina Thorpe.

 

One of the biggest tunes of the 2012 summer season was the beautiful ‘Perfect Love’, which became a solid favorite of the trance community and DJ’s alike. And once again, Shah leads us to musical bliss, guided by the voice of Adrina. After falling in love with her through tracks such as ‘Who Will Find Me’ and ‘Back To You’, her warm voice moves us through the sounds of ‘Island’. A deep, trancy tune with the uplifting sound of the early days of Shah’s career.

Italian remix-master Antillas gave ‘Island’ a firm house shake, pushing it to an energetic tune that belongs nowhere else but at peak-time.

 

For the more uplifting, up-tempo trancers amongst us, there’s the Kim Svärd remix and finally we have a electro progressive remix from Rotation with a powerfull drop which completes this package.

Roger Shah releases as single with great set of remixes one of the most beautiful tracks of his album Openminded that deserved 100% to crop up as single. The package opens with the fantastic Club mix. Cinematic balearic progressive trance in its more classical sense. Travelling with tribal bubbly beats, energetic driving basslines and soothing summery melodies along with  relaxing ambient  sounds and effects. Its one of those tracks that clubbers will dance and sing a long with closed eyes watching the mental images of their personal unknown Island that they like to escape for some moments in the day where nobody can find them. The excellent Italian dj & producer Antillas is on board and he delivers a fantastic hybrid of epic prog house and proglifting trance that continues the balearic atmosphere but in the breakdown huge rave style distorted synths are coming to the surface to lead the track to its big climax. The vocal sounds refreshing and intoxicating at the same time. Antillas club mix is focusing on the beats, the bouncy bass and the beautiful sounds without the vocals perfect for instrumental sets. Kim Svärd remix is powerful proglifting trance track with banging beats, electro infused basslines and big chunks of synths on the breakdown to raise all the hands in the air. The main part is full on and euphoric to blow your mind big time. Big room trance at its very finest to slam the dancefloor without mercy. Rotation remix moves on the progressive trance terrain with great success. It can make you feel like sunbathing in your favourite Island feeling the gentle but dangerous touch sometimes of the sunrays. The climax will cause big hysteria with the hair raising synths.
