REVIEW: Maarten de Jong - Lancelot & Volt out on VANDIT / Armada Music

1.Lancelot (Original Mix)
2.Volt (Original Mix)

If there’s anything Maarten de Jong’s exceptionally good at, it’s fighting silence. The Dutchman  confirms his reputation as one of the promising names for EDM’s future, with that daring duo ‘Lancelot’ & ‘VOLT’.

With a knack for rough edges and a feel for throbbing bass, Maarten de Jong presents the follow-up to ‘RAW’ and Artento Divini collab ‘RAM-B65’.

While ‘Lancelot’ rides the more melodic, trancy side of music, without failing to deliver an outrageous breakdown, ‘VOLT’ energizes with techy and playful synths. A strong duo to provide that extra bit of energy.

Dimitri Kechagias review:   VANDIT records headed by the magnificent producer/dj and radio host Paul van Dyk is on the hunt for the big club tunes and as it seems the Dutch producer Maarten De Jong has in his pockets two sure shots to blow your whistles with them. Lancelot is an ultra large big room club shaker with the well known pumpy energetic beats, the thunderous basslines and the very large synthy theme in the breakdown. Its definitely bigger than your average Big Room tunes so when you drop it  get ready to let the clubbers go tottaly and utterly wild on the floor. Volt is moving on the same direction and I believe that for those who like it more melodic, anthemic and hands in the air this track particularly in its climax will deliver the much anticipated pay off moment. Two must have tracks from the upcoming talent that I really enjoy his set at the Paul van Dyk's Evolution tour at the Melkweg as part of Amsterdam Dance Event. Dont miss the two bad boys. Love IT!
