It’s been only a few short weeks since their ‘Supermarkt’ album crashed into the charts. And though it’s still doing its round in the clubs, 16 Bit Lolitas aren’t planning to rest on their laurels. The production marvels head for a brand new Warung album, following the successful 2008 edition of the series.
From the filmic, bass-guitar driven ‘Wounds’ to the playful, deep-house inspired ‘The Cream’, this is the kick-off of Warung. And it’s absolutely promising.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The incredible duo 16 Bit Lolitas is back with a superb two tracks EP that will win your interest and attention straight away because of the high quality production values and techniques it packs in it with result two magnificent tracks. First of all is the melancholic deep progressive house driving nearly 12 minutes track Wounds. Its one of those tracks that you feel relaxed and safe with their nest to abandon all inhibitions and let yourself be carried far and away for an inspiring and very inspiration music journey. Deep house beats, cool bassline and fantastic guitar melody on top that leads us to the long and really magnificent breakdown that brings to the front a magical orchestral melodic theme. It creates a mood and you can see thousands of autumn/winter related mental images while is playing. Second top track in this EP is the equally admirable 9 minutes long The Cream. Deep super groovy sexy tech house beats, haunting basslines, lively percussion that makes the track even more danceable adding Latin flavourings to it and on top some repeated hypnotic chopped vocals. Quality EP that will pass easily the test of time. Love iT!
