Thomas Mengel presents his debut single “Heliconia” on the Avanti imprint.
27 year old Thomas Mengel is from Denmark and has so far been very active as a dedicated DJ. In his hometown Aarhus he as always been busy with organizing house events and also played on various occasions himself. Thomas works closely with fellow producer and DJ Mike Hawkins and he's currently working hard to spread his wings and expand his career to the rest of the world. Thomas Mengel has recently mixed the third CD featuring the best classics from the In Search Of Sunrise series as part of a contest connected to the release of the 10th volume of ISOS as mixed by Richard Durand. Now Thomas Mengel releases his very first single on the Black Hole sublabel Avanti, introducing his sound for everyone to hear and dance to.
"Heliconia" is a debut that works as the perfect stepping stone for Thomas Mengel to expand his career from the DJ booth to the production table. Prepare yourself for an elaborate arrangement with exciting tech influences, but still with a clear and crisp sound that subtly refers to ISOS. Absolutely magnificent new release is about to blow big time on the big room dancefloors near you. Denmark seems to attract a lot of attention lately and now on Avanti a brand new talent appears with his huge epic prog house smasher Heliconia. If you like tracks that instantly will have a huge impact on the dancefloor definitely choose this little monster. Heliconia is also one of those crossover tracks that trance djs will adopt easily in their sets as well as the right and exact material for the first hour of their sets. It has a slapping pumping bassline upon rough rocking wild techy tribalish electronic beats. The synths are maddening and ultra loud ready to create the perfect combination with the pizzicato style piano melody that is very uplifting, euphoric,bright and very hopeful as well.
