1.Perpetual Motion (Original Mix)
Navigating his way around the pigeonholes, South-Africa’s Protoculture has definitely made some miles in the course of his career. Fusing styles and skipping boxes, he now presents the latest addition to his legacy. Hyped by Armin van Buuren for weeks, Protoculture finally reveals ‘Perpetual Motion’.
Nate Raubenheimer has been on the hot-list for quite some years. Constantly surprising and reinventing himself, the mastermind behind the Protoculture productions now brings us follow-up to ‘Cobalt’ and his ‘Waking Up The Stars’ collab with Alex M.O.R.P.H.. And it’s a big one.
Featured on Armin van Buuren’s ‘Universal Religion Chapter 6’ compilation and being chosen Tune of The Week in the A State of Trance show, is only just the start. A right fit a the Re*Brand label, it’s the deep, proggy ‘Perpetual Motion’ that will be doing its round on the floors these days
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the highlights of Armin's latest epic compilation Universal Religion Chapter 6 is without doubts the brand new progressive trance beauty by the South African super talent Protoculture. Its called Perpetual Motion and the title describes with accuracy the content. We deal here with a real trancer that gives you the impression of constantly moving on the dancefloor non stop without even stopping for a while. His wobbly bubbly progressive beats are combined perfectly with his hi-nrg synths and the electrified basslines. The result is a track that gives you the illusion of being at the front of a small boat riding the manic waves towards an unknown destination that seems to be eternity that nobody is able to catch it. The breakdown is cinematic as you expect with melancholic piano theme and moody atmosphere. Within the breakdown the big synthy hook is introduced that will lead the track towards its big euphoric climax. Overall Perpetual Motion seems to be one of the best and more mature productions for Protoculture. Progressive trance at its finest quality. Protoculture is a talent worth investing for sure. Love IT!
