There’s one particular season that inspires the tunes of Chris Milan and Jay Phoenix: summer! Last year, it was their ‘Carnival’ that became the summer’s essential, this year it’s the feel-good tune of ‘Istanbul (Not Constantinople)’ that’ll get you dancing!

Avid EDM fans since the early 90’s and rocking things out together since the millennium years, the Milan & Phoenix duo have grown their very own style and sound.

Residing in the happy, sun-drenched, feel-good type of tunes, Milan & Phoenix bring in their latest weapon for the summer of 2012: ‘Istanbul (Not Constantinople)l’. Named after one of the world’s richest cultural cities, it throbs with a deep and layered bass, kicks in with catchy vocals and brings you a warm, playful melody.

Another sunny tune from the dynamic duo!

Dimitri Kechagias review: House music with pop edge is always a tricky style to produce without sounding cheesy or sell out. As it seems Milan & Phoenix while they deal with a novelty record based on an old tune from well known movie they manage very successfully to escape from the trap that could easily fall in by making a track that sounds fresh, feel good and perfect for summer parties that people want to feel free and totally out of their heads. With romantic edge, ethnic style flute melody and tech house beats the original mix includes the full lyrics recreated for 2012 and piano melody to take you back in time is the more mainstream sounding version perfect for radio stations to playlist in their daytime and bring some happiness in the harsh office hours. Club mix on the other side is the tougher full on banging version that sounds appropriate for the peak time moment of your set. With just the most important parts of the vocal this version will satisfy those djs who would like to keep it epic and banging with some dose of romanticism too. It sounds a track with a lot of potential to be the next pop dance trend. Love iT!
